Rumor: Xbox 360 Slim, Xbox 720, and Xbox Portable

It’s crazy rumor time. This rumor is so far out there that I probably wouldn’t even be posting it if it wasn’t such a slow news day. Well let’s get straight into it.
A poster on NeoGAF named Xabora has dropped some information about future Xbox related releases. He says he has this information because he “lives in an area with a good deal of employees/contractors from a rather large corporation and has worked with some of them in [his] past”. I told you this rumor was out there.
In his thread he states that a smaller, almost Wii-sized version of the Xbox 360 will be released this Winter. To get the console to be that small, Microsoft will make the Xbox 360 Slim with a GPU and CPU combo dye with the E-DRAM off to the side. Personally, I advise Microsoft to not cram everything into a smaller body. That may not work out so well for them.
Secondly, the poster said that the next iteration of the Xbox will have some crazy features. These include a Blu-ray drive (obviously), a Quad-Core CPU (not shocking, but impressive), and a 1 TB hard drive (WTF?). The speculative release date for this console is around 2010, which is another reason to doubt this rumor, as most analysts expect the next Xbox to release around 2011 or 2012.
Xabora also mentioned the Xbox handheld but would just say that the concept is “pie-in-the-sky” at the moment. So don’t throw out your DS or PSP just yet.
On top of the plethora of obvious reasons to doubt this rumor (a Slim version of the Xbox 360 this winter, really?), there is also Xabora’s plea to take caution. He says, “I would like to mention, please take this with a grain of salt.”

The Wii xbox looks a bit fake. It looks as if somebody just photoshoped the xbox logo onto a wii. The Xbox 720 sounds a bit too good to be true. I mean seriously, 1 TB of storage? Standard computer hard drives are smaller than that. Good post though.

Haha yeah that’s because I photoshopped an Xbox logo onto it. I was just trying to make a point of how small the Xbox 360 Slim is supposed to be.
Yeah I think that 1 TB is a little too much to expect from the Xbox 720. However, Microsoft may have gotten sick of people moaning about hard drive space this generation and decide to just slap on a huge hard drive. I doubt it though.

These are obviously photoshopped, Microsoft haven’t even announced plans of a Xbox360 Slim, though they’re buying in 45nm IBM processors for a reason (for a Slim or to replace current 65nm standard).
AND THERE IS N*O*T GOING TO BE A XBOX720.
That’s retarded and I don’t know how people came up with that roadkill-standard of an idea. Ever thought about why the Xbox actually is named Xbox 360 and not “Xbox 2″? Ever thought about the logo? 360 degrees, makes sense. 720 degrees? Not even Sony would talk about such a thing.
If there’ll be a Xbox360 slim it’ll be named Xbox360 Slim/light/lite, something that makes sense and should carry a 60-120GB harddrive (external, do see the new standards) or a built-in harddrive, if not in SSD even.
Microsoft announced they’re not going to show off any new system 2009 so a slim version is to expect this fall or by the last quarter this year (2008) and a brand new system to be announced or put in stores 2010, when the Xbox360 has been around for more or less five years.

I know the camera is real because it has to do with a game that was shown at E3 but every other picture was poorly PhotoShopped and are definitely just for laughs.
