Ubisoft Remaking Splinter Cell Conviction?
According to a report in the latest Xbox World 360 magazine, Ubisoft will be delaying Splinter Cell Conviction significantly because Ubisoft Montreal thinks the game needs to be taken “back to the drawing board”. Redesigning a full game takes a lot of time and Conviction, originally coming out Fall of last year, will likely have a late 2009, early 2010 release. There has still been no word about whether or not it will remain an Xbox 360 exclusive.
I personally love the Splinter Cell franchise so I definitely do not want to see a delay; especially one this huge. However, if this delay makes the game much better, I couldn’t be happier. But is there really a delay? Let’s ask Ubisoft.
Of course, Ubisoft played a corporate move saying that “there is no official comment on this story, which is based on a purely speculative news piece”. So approach this news story as you would a rumor at the moment. Albeit, a likely to happen, from a very good source rumor. Expect more news about the game at Ubisoft’s UbiDays event in Paris next week.

It’s ok, maybe by the time it comes out the 360 will be way cheaper.
